August 30, 2022 Bargaining Report

With over 70% of CASE Members casting a vote, the 2022-25 CASE MOU has been ratified by the membership.

The vote result was 75.48% in favor of ratification and 24.52% against.

Ratification by the membership is one half of what must occur to complete the process. The Legislature must also act to ratify the agreement via the Legislative process. CASE’s legislative advocates continue to monitor progress at the Capitol. We will send you an update when legislative action on the MOU has concluded.

The CASE Bargaining Team thanks all Members who participated in the bargaining process this year – from completing the Bargaining Survey, to sharing your views over the last six months, to participating in the Straw Poll, to attending a town hall, and casting your vote in the ratification election.

The 2022-25 CASE MOU represents real gains for many CASE Members, but we know that work remains to ensure the state addresses the recruitment and retention challenges that make the state a less competitive employer and, in doing so, threaten Californians’ natural resources, safety, and opportunity.

Advocacy is a year-round pursuit. While this round of contract negotiations is close to its conclusion, work for the 2025 round of negotiations has already begun. CASE represents you individually and collectively, at the bargaining table, before the Legislature, administrative agencies, judicial bodies, and in every forum where your employment and professional interests are at stake. We appreciate your membership and engagement.

Onward.
