Remember to Use Your PDDs. CASE Members are credited with 2 Professional Development Days each July 1, but unlike your vacation or annual leave, PDDs don’t roll over. As we enter the last quarter of the fiscal year, remember to use your PDDs before they expire on June 30!

Attorney General Launches Video Appeal for DAGs. The Attorney General last week released a video encouraging applicants for Deputy Attorney General positions at the Department of Justice. The video encourages attorneys to review open positions with the DOJ across various sections. 

Organ Donor Leave. April is National Donate Life Month, a time to raise awareness about organ donation and to encourage Americans to register as organ, eye, and tissue donors and to honor those who have given the gift of life through organ donation. CASE MOU Article 9.17 provides Organ Donor Leave to all Unit 2 employees. The Article provides an employee up to 30 days to an employee who is an organ donor for the purposes of donating an organ to another person and up to 5 days to any employee who is a bone marrow donor, subject to certain requirements, such an exhaustion of available sick leave. 2nd Annual CASE Public Service Scholars Award. Applications are open for the 2nd Annual CASE Public Service Scholars Award. CASE Members and their dependents pursuing higher education are invited to apply between now and May 1. The award honors applicants who are currently in a career, or plan to pursue a career, in government or another form of service supporting the common good, or applicants who can demonstrate meaningful commitment to serving others by participation in service-oriented academic pursuits, volunteer, or community service.
