CASE BOARD OF DIRECTORS UPDATE

Leave Cash-Out List Now Available. As reported last week, Article 9.23 of the CASE MOU allows employees to cash out up to 160 hours of accumulated Vacation or Annual leave each year, if their department participates in the cash out program. Each department gets to make the call on whether to allow employees to cash out leave and how many hours will be allowed up to the 160-hour cap. Departments also generally extend this option to Unit 2-related excluded employees.

Requests to cash out leave must be submitted during the month of May. The deadline at most departments is May 31, but a few have earlier deadlines. To check your department’s status, visit the Resource Center on the CASE Website. You’ll find a searchable chart towards the bottom of the page. Don’t see your department listed? You can help us out by passing along the participation notice you received from your department.

Connecting with Your Pay & Benefit information. Those newer to state service may not be familiar with the many sources of information available to state employees. One such resource is the State Controller’s Cal-Connect portal, where you can access your pay stubs, W-2s, check leave balances, and more. It’s a good idea to check your pay stub regularly.
