Currently, CASE has confirmation that the following departments will participate up to the number of hours indicated: DOJ (160 hours), DIR (160 hours), State Compensation Insurance Fund (160 hours), CalTrans (80 hours), CHP (40 hours), CDCR (160 hours), CARB (80 hours), DDS (160 hours), DWR (160 hours), CalFire, (hours TBD), Water Boards (160 hours), DCSS (160 hours), DPH (160 hours),  General Services (160 hours), Fish and Wildlife (160 hours) and Parks (160 hours). DCA is not participating.

We will continue to update this list of participating departments as we receive confirmation. Please contact CASE if you have questions.

CALPERS CORNER

Board Election Calendar Set. Candidates for the three CalPERS Board of Directors seats up for election, including the state-employee representative, have until 5 p.m. Thursday to submit their nomination papers. Soon after that, campaigning begins for contested seats.

Ballots will be mailed August 26, 2022, and votes must be received by September 26, 2022. A runoff election may be held if no candidate receives the majority of votes cast in their election. Active state employees are eligible to vote in this election.

Theresa Taylor occupies the state member representative seat, a position she has held since 2015.  The other two seats up for election represent school and retired member groups.

To ensure you receive a state-member ballot, verify your address now by logging into myCalPERS or contacting the fund by phone at 888-CalPERS (888-225-7377).
