Dear Bargaining Unit 2 Member:
Take advantage of this great opportunity – ONLY TWO DAYS LEFT!
Special Opportunity only available to CASE Voting Members
CASE is very excited to announce that today begins the Open Enrollment period for Voting Members of CASE to obtain Life and/or Long-Term Disability Insurance, with no medical questions asked (see attached). Eligibility for these plans without medical underwriting is usually limited to those who are new to CASE and state service. However, we have arranged to extend this benefit to our loyal Voting, dues-paying members as well from September 15, 2020 to October 15, 2020.
The GUARANTEE ISSUE limit for LIFE INSURANCE is $200,000. If someone wishes to apply for more than $200,000, THEN they need to complete the Medical History Statement form. Even if a person is declined due to health reasons for more than $200,000, they will STILL keep the $200,000 coverage.
For Long Term Disability Insurance, you can choose income replacement of 50%, 60% or 65% of your monthly gross salary. Benefits are paid to you Tax Free.
Both of these plans are completely portable, so even if you leave state service, you can keep your low rates and coverage.
Please take advantage of this rare opportunity and send your completed enrollment form to Nancy@NancyBondInsurance.com right away and no later than October 15, 2020 for an effective date of November 1, 2020. Payment is made via payroll deduction. If you have any questions about the coverage or your eligibility, please email Nancy@NancyBondInsurance.com and you will receive a reply within 24 hours.
If You Are Not A CASE Voting Member: You must be a Voting, dues paying member of CASE to take advantage of this opportunity. Non-management legal professionals working for the State are automatically included in Bargaining Unit 2 and are subject to the terms and conditions of all contracts negotiated by CASE. However, you are not a member of CASE unless you affirmatively become a Voting, dues paying member. As a member, you gain the right to vote on contracts, vote for and/or run for the CASE Board of Directors, be represented in disputes with management or disciplinary actions, and participate in great CASE member benefits such as this. A membership application is attached. Please fill it out now and join the rest of your colleagues in having a voice in your workplace representation.
A little about The Standard Insurance Company:
The Standard Stands the Test of Time
In the July 2018 issue of Best’s Review, Standard Insurance Company was recognized for maintaining an “A” rating or higher from A.M. Best Company since 1928. The Standard was honored to be among one of only 17 life/health insurers to consistently achieve an “A” rating or higher for more than 75 years. Given the rapidly evolving markets, changing customer needs, and challenging economic times, this is a significant accomplishment.
Notably, based on the long-term characteristics of our membership, the rates of this CASE group policy have not increased in 15 years. Please take advantage of this excellent low-cost coverage while you have the opportunity.
This email may not reach all CASE members. Accordingly, CASE encourages you to pass this email along to any of your colleagues who may not have received it. If you are not receiving CASE emails and wish to receive future communications from CASE, please send an email to info@calattorneys.org and request to be added to the distribution list. CASE also encourages you to send responses from your personal email address as opposed to your state email address. Please keep in mind that all responses will be treated as confidential by CASE.
You must be a CASE Voting Member to obtain this benefit. If you are not a CASE Voting Member, please join today. Attached you will find a membership application; once you have completed the application please email it to info@calattorneys.org.
As always, your support of CASE and your colleagues in Bargaining Unit 2 is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
The CASE Board of Directors
